I am in awe of the organisers and contributors of an amazing event I attended last night.I felt very honoured to take part in this event which celebrated the 100th Anniversary of International Women’s Day. The Event was held at the gorgeous Brew Creek Centre (half way between Squamish and Whistler), where the staff were exceptionally friendly and the food was amazing.
My dear friend Melanie Anne Bitner of Better World Industries Inc along with Christine McLeod, Lisa Princic and Erica Rigik of Squamish Women Networking were behind this event and in a matter of a few short weeks succeeded in planning,organising, implementing,MOTIVATING and SELLING OUT!
The special guest speaker at the event was a wonderfully charismatic and well accomplished international motivational speaker, clinical counselor and author by the name of Suzanne Kyra who held the audiences attention not only with her wisdom and insights, but also with her enormously positive energy and humour.
There was also a wonderful evening of entertainment provided by an incredibly talented young woman, Amanda Langelaan as well as:The Creative Feminine Experience—an experiential celebration of our uniqueness through sound and movement by MJ Vermette & Codi Dalen
The other wonderful thing was that all proceeds for the evening went to the Howe Sound Women’s Centre for their continued work and dedication in assisting women through difficult transitions in their life.
