It has been a very long time since I sat down to write a blog post, I have had so much to say and share but for some reason only now have the words started to make it out of my head and onto this page. The truth is I took a huge step away from sharing my work as I have been trying to determine exactly what direction it is all taking.
Giving myself the time and space to think about where I was going with photography and videography I noticed that the same answers kept coming up when asked what work I like to do:
I really love to create photos and videos to help people promote the work they are passionate about in life, career, hobby etc. It is a huge honour to be given this task and so much fun to work together to come up with a unique vision. This may sound like a broad spectrum of work possibilities, and yes I have most definitely found myself in vastly different work environments over the last few years ranging from Hot Air Balloons with Make A Wish Australia, to Factory workers for an Engineering Company, to Custom Jewellery Making to a musician in the Snow! However the essence of the work is the same in all of these scenarios; connecting with the person and their environment in the photo or the video and helping their light to shine through….
That is what I truly love and will continue to do!
Currently I am rebuilding my website to give a fresh look at what I do, in the meantime, though, I have decided to re-start my blog posts to both share with and inspire anyone who cares to take a peak!
This week I would like to share with you some photos I took of a long time client (who feels more like family than client) that I connected with on my trip back to Canada in December last year! Her name is Jocelyn Pettit and she is an incredibly hard working, passionate and talented musician from Canada. She is such a joy to work with and it is easy to see in the photos how much she loves what she does. We also always have fun working together.
You can take a look at her website here and find out more about her music…in the meantime enjoy the photos!
